Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Minis is an AI assistant app that runs entirely on your device. It allows you to connect your own AI provider accounts (such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Gemini, OpenRouter, or custom API endpoints) to have AI-powered conversations. Minis acts as a client — it sends your requests directly from your device to the provider you select and displays the responses.

2. Data We Collect

None. Minis does not collect any personal data. We do not operate servers, analytics services, crash reporting tools, or any backend infrastructure. We have no ability to access your conversations, files, API keys, or any other data on your device.

3. Data Stored on Your Device

The following data is created and stored locally on your device only:

• Chat sessions and messages — your conversation history with AI providers
• Attachments — files, images, and documents you share in conversations
• API credentials — API keys and OAuth tokens, stored in the iOS Keychain
• App preferences — your settings and configuration choices
• Skills and memories — custom AI instructions and session context you create
• Log files — diagnostic logs stored locally for your own troubleshooting

You can delete any of this data at any time from within the app or by deleting the app.

4. Data Shared with Third-Party AI Providers

When you configure an AI provider and use it in a conversation, the following data may be sent directly from your device to that provider's servers to generate AI responses:

• Your chat messages and conversation history for the current session
• Files, images, and documents you attach to the conversation
• System information you explicitly authorize through iOS permissions (such as calendar events, health data, contacts, location, etc.) when using agent features

You choose which provider to use and can remove any provider and its stored credentials at any time. Each provider's own privacy policy governs how they handle data sent to their services.

5. Sensitive Data

Health Data (HealthKit)

If you grant HealthKit access, the AI agent can read or write health data (such as steps, heart rate, sleep, and workouts) on your behalf. Health data may be sent to the AI provider you select as part of a conversation when you explicitly use health-related agent features. Health data is never used for advertising, marketing, or data mining purposes, and is never shared with any party other than the provider you choose.

Contacts, Calendar, and Reminders

If you grant access, the AI agent can query and manage your contacts, calendar events, and reminders. This data is only sent to your selected AI provider when you explicitly use the relevant agent features.

Location

If you grant location access, it may be used to record where sessions are started (stored locally) and to keep agent tasks running in the background. Location data is only sent to an AI provider if you explicitly request location-related information in a conversation.

Camera, Microphone, and Photos

Camera access is used to take photos for conversations. Microphone access is used for voice-to-text input. Photo library access is used to attach or save images. Media captured is only sent to an AI provider when you include it in a conversation.

6. iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud sync, your chat sessions, memories, and skills may be synced across your devices using Apple's CloudKit service. This data is transmitted and stored according to Apple's Privacy Policy. Minis does not have access to your iCloud data.

7. Tracking and Analytics

Minis does not track you. We do not use any analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, crash reporting services, or any other tracking mechanisms. We do not collect device identifiers, usage statistics, or behavioral data.

8. Children's Privacy

Minis is not directed at children under 17. We do not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it:

• Delete individual chat sessions from within the app
• Remove provider credentials from Settings
• Delete all app data by deleting the app

For data already sent to third-party AI providers, please refer to each provider's privacy policy for their data retention and deletion practices.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
